Discounted system maintenance and internet security suite bundle
We've bundled together a combination of two powerful tools within one discounted bundle. TuneUp Utilities 2012 will keep your system maintained, your drive optimised and your computer running at an optimum level. AVG Internet Security 2012 will keep your system safe and secure, whilst you browse the internet.
TuneUp Utilities 2012 is a suite of tools for cleaning up, optimising, fixing, customising, and generally getting the maximum possible from your PC. If you enjoy a hands-on approach then you can explore each of the TuneUp Utilities 2012 modules manually. But if you prefer an easy life, the TuneUp Utilities can simply be left to maintain your PC automatically. And then, every three days, while your system is idle, the program will hunt down Windows problems and fix them, while you get on with more important matters.
The new 2012 edition ships with a small number of new functions such as the new Economy Mode. This is a detailed power management application that enables you to examine and turn-off energy sapping features and much more. An ideal way of saving battery power. The TuneUp Program Deactivator is much improved. You are now able to simply start and stop running applications when required, particularly to prevent software from slowing your computer. Rather than uninstalling, shut off software and then restart it at a later date.
AVG Internet Security 2012 is the latest version of the company's comprehensive security suite, now carefully redesigned to minimise its impact on your system.
The program still comes packed with all the functionality you'd expect, then. A strong antivirus engine protects you from dangers both on and offline; the LinkScanner keeps you safely away from dangerous websites; a configurable firewall blocks network attacks; and there's a rootkit detector, spam filter, identity theft protection, and more.
A simplified Internet Security 2012 console now also incorporates links to add-ons, including parental controls, online backup, and PC Analyzer. (Although the latter isn't too useful as it only checks for issues like broken Registry keys and leftover junk files; you can't fix these without installing AVG's PC Tuneup.)
Yet despite all the extras, AVG have managed to reengineer the suite to reduce its impact on your boot time, cut memory use by up to 20%, and reduce the suite's number of running processes from 16 to 11.
Note that the trial download here is for TuneUp Utilities 2012. You can download a trial of AVG Internet Security 2012 from the AVG website. Your order will ship with downloads for both products, including your serial codes.
