Create polished 2D and 3D movies with this speedy and versatile video editor
MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus is a powerful video editor that's been revamped to improve its performance and add support for a pile of new and interesting features.
The program doesn't only capture video from DV and Mini-DV, HDV and AVCHD cameras, videos, webcams and TV cards, for instance. New 3D support means it's now able to import images directly from many 3D cameras, apply 3D fades, titles and effects, then preview the results on many 3D display devices.
If you're still working in the 2D video world, though, you'll appreciate the improved editor, featuring 99 tracks, multicam editing, and more than 1,000 special effects and cinematic transitions. Especially as new effects masks allow you to apply video effects to only the parts of an image that you define, which gives you many fascinating creative possibilities.
A redesigned interface means all this is easier than ever, and there are a host of usability and workflow tweaks. A redesigned Undo function now allows you to undo and redo multiple actions in one step, for instance, while also using less memory - just one of many reasons for the program's improved performance.
And when the editing is done, new AVCHD SmartRendering accelerates export to AVCHD and Blu-ray discs by anything up to ten times. There's real-time shutter export of 3D films as colour anaglyphs (viewable using the usual red/ cyan glasses), or direct to NVIDIA 3D Vision devices. And new options allow you to export video to the Apple iPad, upload clips to Facebook, or submit movies direct to YouTube and Vimeo, in full 1080p HD resolution.
